Introducing TheDare2Dream Foundation

Based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, The Dare2Dream Foundation provides children with bespoke emotional wellbeing support, behaviour support and educational provisions.

They work with schools, virtual schools and academies, local authorities and care providers to ensure all children have access to the mental health and educational support they need.

As the number of children experiencing mental health conditions is increasing by the year, the need for quality support is more pressing than ever. It was imperative to the Foundation that their IT worked efficiently, enabling them to work to their full potential.

Their challenge

In 2021, The Dare2Dream Foundation approached Hubtel IT after facing some challenges with their then-IT support provider.

When they first reached out to us, the Foundation had gone through a period of rapid expansion and had outgrown their existing IT infrastructure. They recognised the need to modernise and to leverage the latest technology in order to support their continued growth. 

Since their team works remotely, the priorities for a modern system centred around speed, connectivity and security to meet GDPR regulations. 

The solution 

We built a fast and reliable IT infrastructure, moving from on-premise to cloud solutions that were efficient, scalable, secure and cost-effective. The beauty of the cloud meant that we were able to make instant modifications to facilitate regular improvements. Part of our remit was to also ensure that the Foundation was up-to-date with software and hardware to support efficiencies, as well as the latest cyber security tools to ward off the threat of cyber crime.

IT for the modern business

Cloud solutions allow for unrivalled levels of flexibility, scalability and security, helping organisations move away from physical hard drives and storing their files on servers, making them instantly accessible across the world… to the right people, of course. 

This allows us to quickly add new users, storage and processing power, helping the Foundation keep up with its fast growth and the additions of new staff members.

This off-premises form of computing provides professional-grade security, such as multi-factor authentication, firewalls and encryption.

Not to mention, this actually has a cost-saving benefit. Keeping physical IT equipment up to date can be expensive, but cloud systems eliminate these costs completely.

Cyber security 

Cyber crime costs the country billions, so having robust solutions in place and an agile team of experts monitoring them is essential for any type of organisation.

During our time together, we have implemented fundamental cyber security tools, providing The Dare2Dream Foundation with an all-important first line of defence against all kinds of cyber attack.

Our service consists of cutting-edge antivirus software and firewalls that keep their organisation running without interruption. 

Having effective cyber security in place can also help you improve your reputation and meet regulatory requirements. And in this particular instance, keeping the sensitive data of children secure was paramount.

In 2025, we will be taking our cyber security support one step further, helping The Dare2Dream Foundation achieve Cyber Essentials certification – this is something that has been in the pipeline since the very beginning.

This accreditation will bolster the Foundation’s reputation further and be a valuable next step in its cyber security journey.

Keeping things up to date and secure 

The Hubtel IT team has implemented RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) which allows us to remotely supervise the Foundation’s IT infrastructure, enabling us to check for any updates and monitor their hardware 24/7.

RMM allows us to monitor the health of their network, and wherever possible, make security updates behind the scenes with little or no disruption to the end user.

The result 

Our partnership with The Dare2Dream Foundation has certainly been a success – and long may it continue.

Since the start of our working relationship, we have achieved an impressive resolved service-level agreement (RSLA) of 99.1%. 

But we know there is always room for improvement. 

Our Quarterly Business Reviews allow us to revisit the core objectives of our relationship and hone our services to provide the best support, all the while planning ahead to with their next goals in mind.
