Microsoft 7 End of Life
If you are using a PC with Microsoft 7 as your operating system then you may be aware that Microsoft stopped supporting it on 14 January 2020. Your PC will still work but the withdrawal of their technical support means that technical assistance and software updates from their Windows Update function will no longer be available. The implication is that this will leave your PC extremely vulnerable to security threats and possible loss of data. Read more about protecting your PC and your data from security breaches on our security page.
Microsoft are recommending that any Windows 7 users upgrade to Windows 10 which will ensure you are up-to-date with their latest security releases. This can involve upgrading your existing PC to the latest operating system or you may want to consider buying a new PC to take advantage of the other benefits associated with a new PC, such as better processing speeds. For more information on buying hardware, visit our hardware page.
The transition to Microsoft 10 doesn’t need to be a difficult one and our IT support company Birmingham would be happy to offer any advice if you are considering the upgrade. For more information on Microsoft End of Life, please call us on 01675 466637 or email support@blueclickit.co.uk.
