Our (belated) 2024 in review

We all know that good IT support is the difference between a productive, happy team and total chaos – and we’re proud to provide that to our customers.

But you don’t want to hear us harp on about how good Hubtel IT is.

Let’s let the statistics tell the story.

Here, we share some of our proudest achievements of 2024.

  • 98.48% tickets closed within initial SLA
  • 12,430 total tickets closed
  • 4.91/5 average survey score
  • 2.3 hours average response time (excluding critical)

If you’re looking for better IT support, you know where to find us!

“Real, lasting change”

We’re proud to have sponsored Black Country Women’s Aid’s ‘Inspirational Woman of the Year Award’ at their International Women’s Day Event, which took place on Saturday 8 March with an evening of inspiration, celebration, glamour and glitz.

Our very own Marie Gauntlett presented the award to the winner, Jo Downing, a local nurse of nearly 30 years and a long-term supporter of the Black Country Women’s Aid.

Jo, who specialises in lymphoedema, was described by one of her nominators as “one of Heaven’s angels, sent to change our lives.”

During the evening, funds were being raised to build 10 much-needed refuge flats for families fleeing domestic violence.

Neil Bayliss, Director of Hubtel IT, said:

“Sponsoring BCWA’s Inspirational Woman of the Year 2025 award was an absolute pleasure. BCWA provides vital support to vulnerable people in our wider community, and having worked with them for many years, we’ve seen first-hand their dedication to improving lives. Jo was a truly deserving winner, and it’s individuals like her who create real, lasting change.”

Supporting noble causes in our community and surrounding areas is important to us here at Hubtel IT, and we’re honoured to have been asked to play a part in this incredible charity event.

Ask yourself this question…

“Is my Managed Service Provider enabling my business to grow?”

It’s no longer OK for MSPs to just provide technical support and cyber security software – they should enable your business to reach its long-term goals.

Why?

Our Charity of the Year

We’re delighted to announce that Black Country Women’s Aid are our Charity of the Year!

Hubtel IT has worked closely with the BCWA over the past few years on charity events, fundraisers and award ceremonies, most recently presenting an Inspirational Woman of the Year award at their event earlier this month.

We’ve also been working with them on their IT, helping them achieve Cyber Essentials certification back in 2023. Here’s to many more years of supporting this amazing charity!

Are you eligible for free cyber security insurance?

When you achieve Cyber Essentials accreditation, you get essential cyber security services and proof of your commitment to fighting cyber crime.

But that’s not all!

Cyber Essentials accreditation means you are entitled to automatic cyber liability insurance, as long as you certify your entire organisation and have an annual turnover of less than £20 million.

Having these measures in place doesn’t just protect your business. It demonstrates your dedication to ensuring a future free of cyber crime.

Read more about government-backed IASME standard and, if you’re keen to work towards accreditation, get in touch and we’d be happy to guide you.

We don’t need a crystal ball…

It’s no secret that the future of IT is cloud-based.

When The Dare2Dream Foundation approached us looking for a refresh to their IT infrastructure, transitioning them from on-premises software to the cloud was a top priority.

If you’re looking to migrate to the cloud and futureproof your IT infrastructure, get in touch today at enquiries@hubtelit.co.uk.

These two go hand in hand…

Planning and budgeting for a technology infrastructure is non-negotiable for any business. Having a robust tech plan can help your business in several ways:

  • Aligning with business goals
  • Proactive resource management
  • Enhancing decision-making

Not to mention, it can help you ensure cyber safety, keep you compliant and prevent you from falling behind your competitors.

This article explains what you should prioritise – and Hubtel IT is here to help.

Congratulations!

A big congratulations to our customers at Haven School in Wolston, Warwickshire, as they achieve Cyber Essentials accreditation!

As the threats of cyber crime continue to grow, it’s crucial that schools and colleges take it seriously – not only to protect their sensitive data, but to demonstrate their commitment to fighting cyber crime.

The Government’s Cyber security breaches survey 2024 found that the following institutions reported these % of cyber breaches and crimes in the year preceding the survey:

  • 52% of primary schools
  • 71% of secondary schools
  • 97% of higher education institutions

Whether you work for a school, business or another type of organisation, find out how to start with journey towards Cyber Essentials here.
